KPMG Case Competition
In collaboration with KPMG, DMSA hosted a case competition exclusively for 3rd and 4th year BMOS students with previous case experience. The event brought together 60–80 participants for a day of strategic problem-solving, networking, and professional development. Students tackled real-world business challenges, gained valuable feedback from KPMG representatives, and experienced what it’s like to work with one of the Big Four accounting firms. The competition served as a platform for students to showcase their analytical skills in a professional business setting.​


DMSA Connect Conference
The Dan Management Students’ Association hosted its annual Connect Conference at Somerville Grand Hall, welcoming students for a full day of networking, learning, and professional growth. Attendees had the opportunity to connect with BMOS alumni and representatives from top firms including Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, CIBC, Oxford Properties, and more. The event featured engaging speakers, interactive industry panels, and plenty of time for meaningful conversation over food and drinks. This business-formal conference helped students build connections and gain valuable insights into various industries.
Internship Panel
DMSA hosted an engaging Internship Panel aimed at first and second-year business students looking to get ahead in their career planning. Held in UCC 41, the event featured upper-year BMOS students who shared their internship experiences at top firms including RBC, Scotiabank, and PwC. Attendees gained valuable insights into how panelists secured their roles, what they learned on the job, and their best tips for success. The evening wrapped up with free pizza and plenty of opportunities for students to ask questions and connect with peers.



LinkedIn & Coffee Chat Workshop
DMSA hosted an interactive LinkedIn & Coffee Chat Workshop in collaboration with Western’s Careers and Experience team. Designed to help students refine their professional presence, the session focused on optimizing LinkedIn profiles, navigating coffee chats with confidence, and building a strong business identity. Attendees gained practical strategies to stand out in a competitive job market, all in a supportive and hands-on environment.
Headshots Night
On October 30th, DMSA hosted a LinkedIn Headshots session open to all club members, providing students with a valuable opportunity to elevate their professional presence. Participants received free, high-quality headshots perfect for LinkedIn profiles, resumes, and other networking platforms. The event was designed to help students build a more polished and professional online identity—an important first step in making strong first impressions with recruiters and industry professionals. With a great turnout and a relaxed, supportive atmosphere, the session was a simple yet impactful way to support students in their career development journey.​
Annual General Meeting
DMSA kicked off the academic year with its Annual General Meeting (AGM), held on October 1st in SSC Room 2024. The event served as an opportunity for new and returning members to come together, learn more about the association’s mission and goals, and hear from the executive team. Attendees were encouraged to share ideas, ask questions, and get inspired to get involved throughout the year. With a strong turnout and enthusiastic participation, the AGM helped set the tone for a collaborative and impactful year ahead for DMSA.​
